2018 trends and looking toward 2019

This week/weekend was the start of the 2019 Pac-12 slate. Arizona played last weekend, but the rest kickoff tonight!
Here is a look back at last season and some looking forward to the current season.

2018 season

This last season, the Pac-12 had some good uniform combos and a few trends. Here are the most notable uni-happenings from 9 months ago:

Mono-colors
Headlined by Oregon, which only used mono-sets in the regular season, many teams wore the same colored pants and jerseys this season. And most went full-mono with helmet as well.

Simple
Also headlined by Oregon, there was a lack of special or oddball uniforms and a renewed sense of simplicity. Only a handful of one-off uniforms or throwbacks. Typically each team had one special uniform, unlike some years where each week brought new specialty sets.

Less Black, Gray and Chrome
The biggest trend of the last few seasons seemed to fade this year, with more school colors and white shining. Four of the Pac-12 have black or gray/silver as an official colors and are excused. The remaining teams used a lot less BFBS and GFGS.

2019 season

Our good friends at Uniwatch did a really huge College Football preview, so that I don't have to! Check out Paul's Sports Illustrated compendium of our conference and the rest of CFB.

And as always check them out on a daily basis. My work with the Pac-12 and the Ducktracker will be highlighted each weekend of the season starting next weekend.
